January 4, 2014 I heard a lot of stories relating to World War I and World War II telling about how Polish people had been sent to Siberia and had to go through frightening tortures. Most people and some members of my family who had taken part in World War II had fought on the other side of Europe, in England, not in Soviet Europe and that’s why they had been persecuted. Although I was a really young person, I started feeling an impulse to go away somewhere. I was just too weak to handle hypocrisy, I couldn’t explain it to myself. It was an obnoxious experience for me but let's start from the beginning… 10
