May 18, 1971 I can’t believe it! I’ve found a book titled “Lenin” in school! I have no idea if it’s true or not but the book is probably banned by the authorities. Rumor has it that if someone catches us reading it, we can go to jail or there may be other repressions on the reader, so I must read the book somewhere else, where nobody could see me. I think I’ll hide it behind a large oak wardrobe and when it’s dark night I can read “Lenin” under the duvet with a flashlight which I got from my uncle from Canada. 11
